Canal Once (XEIPN)

The first public educational channel in the country. The channel of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) is one fo the six belonging to the Mexican Public Broadcast System. In 2015, as a result of the blackout of the analogue signals in the country, the channel transmits as open digital television. The first programme transmitted by the channel in 1959 was a mathematics lesson. Its current programme includes news, children's programmes and programmes for art, science and technology. Canal Once informs that its signal as free and public channel covers 70.12% of the national territory. However, the document about this coverage from the channel's website does not have an issuing date.
