La Crónica de Hoy
La Crónica de Hoy is a tabloid-size newspaper printed in Mexico City. Since its beginnings it has been criticized for being a media alligned with PRI (Institutional Revolutionary PArty), which openly attacks the left-wing political party Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD), especially Andrés Manuel López Obrador who was the Head of Government of Mexico City for this party (2000-2005) and candidate for Mexican president in three occasions: 2006, 2012 and 2018.

Jorge Kahwagi Gastine - He is the father-in-law of Miguel Marón Manzur, who was the Undersecretary at the Mexican Secretariat of Economy. His son, Jorge Kahwagi Macari, was the Secretary of the political party Partido Nueva Alianza (2007- 2011) and Federal Representative for the political paty Partido Verde (2003-2006). It has been said that Kahwagi Gastine had an emotional relationship with Elba Esther Gordillo, which was the most powerful political leader in Mexico due to her leading role at the National Union for Education Workers, the biggest trade union in Latin America with more than 1,7 million members. Gordillo was the founder of the political party Nueva Alinaza.
