Publimetro is a free newspaper that arrived in Mexico in 2006, the second Latin American country to distribute it after Chile. Today, this daily newspaper has presence in Mexico City, city of Monterrey, city of Guadalajara and in the State of Quintana Roo. Since it entered the Mexican market, Publimetro has expanded its offer with various additions such as sports, entertainment, tourism, cars and finance.

Publimetro is being distributed by a Mexican company called Publicaciones Metropolitanas S.A. de C.V., which was booked as subsidiary of Metro International to be in charge of the publication since 2010. The information about the owners of the Mexican version of the newspaper are publicly unknown. Pelle Anderson is the owner of Metro International.
