After the death of the founder of Proceso and President of the Managing Board, Julio Scherer García, the majoritarian shareholders of Proceso are: Francisco Álvarez Romero, Estela Franco Arroyo, Salvador Corro Ortíz, Rafael Rodríguez Castañeda and Julio Scherer Ibarra.
Scherer Ibarra is the son of the founder of Proceso. He worked as coordinator campaign of today's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Now he is one of his legal counsels.
